It is so good to be working outdoors again after such a strange and trying year in lock down...

Long-time collaborator musician Ria Soemardjo and I are particularly drawn to spend time with several of the very beautiful old trees at The Abbotsford Convent as part of the Pivot residency program, and to research their history and story.  The recent destruction of one of the precious Djab Wurrung trees, has spurred us to make work that invites people to connect to these precious trees.

As part of our collective The Echoes Project, Ria and I are thrilled to be on site between 1 December 2020 to 14 January 2021.  Here’s a little insight into our project and experiences.
