Upcoming Work : THE ECHOES PROJECT

I'm excited to be working again with my long time collaborator, vocalist/musician Ria Soemardjo in a new collaboration with percussionists Ron Reeves and Matt Stonehouse in THE ECHOES PROJECT. 

Inspired by our direct experience in many communities in countries like Indonesia and Malaysia, of ceremony and ritual taking place in public spaces, alongside everyday activities, THE ECHOES PROJECT seeks to re-imagine, re-create and share contemporary rituals that transform our connection/disconnection to place, in the urban Australian context.

Often these events integrate many different forms – music, dance, storytelling, gatherings involving food and informal sharing etc. In this project, the artists will explore ways to create an immersive and transformative experience for local audiences, through live music and dance , unmediated by any use of technology.

THE ECHOES PROJECT will premier in the lane ways of Melbourne's Chinatown on 16th December 2017.
